Socrates Cafe - Aug 18, 2025 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM @ Spiral Wanderers

Socrates Cafe gathers twice a month on Monday evenings at Spiral Wanderers in Brunswick. A very casual and cozy place to talk about the philosophical implications of a particular topic. There are a number of topics for consideration, based on the desires of the group in attendance.

Discussions are informal, friendly, and lightly moderated. Anyone with curiosity, a thoughtful disposition, and consideration for the ideas of others is welcome. These gatherings are about personal philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, emphasis is placed on questioning, open mindedness and challenging personal assumptions while listening to and considering the views shared by others.
